I love that you came up with a great juggling routine that allowed you to get what you need. I swear, doing your mani/pedi in the van while commuting to work makes perfect sense to me. Here's one of my juggling tricks: I love to read, but don't get a lot of free time to myself with three kids six and under. I have been known to get stuck in a great book, and the kids eventually get sick of waiting for me to finish "just one more page." So I can carry on a conversation with them, sing a lullaby, prep dinner, play Blokus, etc. all while reading my book. That's to say nothing of the regular juggling we moms do on everyday things (not just splurges on ourselves)... It's really nothing to hold a two-year-old on my hip, chop the onions with one hand, supervise my son doing homework while making weekend plans for a family outing on the phone with a girlfriend.
