Nice spot for a rainy afternoon with the girls

Very location convenient (right on the escalator), staff are friendly and the service is good. Shellac is pricey though (and no better quality than other much cheaper places), but a nice spot to go and catch up with friends. They charge for shellac removal, which is a bit cheeky given their higher prices already. Waxing wasn't great and also quite expensive.

Good quality but expensive

As someone who only manages to keep shellac on her nails for a week... I find it hard to justify the price of Iyara. Having said that, I have friends who can't dream of going anywhere else! It is a great location, great atmosphere and so relaxing. It's also wonderful that a mani and pedi can be done at the same time!!!

Good quality manicure and pedicure

I like Iyara because of the quality of the manicures and pedicures - they consistently do a good job and therapists are friendly. The ambience is nice and relaxing and they offer free tea and wine. My one gripe is that you cannot book a manicure and pedicure at the same time, or you can - but they cannot guarantee that they will start / finish at the same time (I have sometimes been in there for more than 1.5 hours for the both). I would prefer the certainty of knowing that both will be done within the hour.

Best shellac nails in Hong Kong

I tried alot of different nail places when I first arrived in Hong Kong. I've been a fan of Iyara for years now. They do the best shellac nails I've ever had and they seem to last longer compared to when I've had them done elsewhere. It's not the place to form a friendship with a specific nail technician, they seem more interested in talking to each other than with you (I am alright with that). But it is perfect for a catch up with a friend or a relaxing morning/afternoon with some mags.

If you want a mani and pedi make sure you tell them you want this done at the same time

Relaxing

Iyara is a lovely place to have your hand & feet done. The girls are ever so sweet and appreciate you are there not only to get fabulous nails but also to relax. You're given lovely tea upon arrival and they ensure you are as comfortable as possible. You're even provided with a blanket to cover your knees when wearing a dress/ skirt. It's the little things that make a difference. The nail treatments are fab. The girls look presentable and really take their time to achieve perfection (they even check your left & right nails are the same length). I love the way the shop smells too! If you're looking to visit on the weekend, you probably want to book in advance as they tend to be too busy to take any walk-ins.
